What does Make Me A Pin Up do?

We take your photos (you upload them to our site) and, by hand, edit them to create a gorgeous vintage pin up poster effect. They can then either be printed (on postcards, posters or canvases) and posted to you, or we will create a digital pack of your image and email it to you. What photos can I use?

You can use any photo that you like as long as you either a) own the copyright to the image or b) have the copyright owner’s permission. As a group of people who make our living creating we take copyright very seriously and will never knowing violate someone’s copyright.

Will it work on all photos?

Not all pictures are suited to the Make Me A Pin Up effect, but most will work. If we find that your uploaded photo is not suitable we will email you and let you know, offering to either work our magic on another picture for you or to refund you the price of your original order.

What type of picture works best?

In order for the Make Me A Pin Up effect to look it’s best your photo should be well lit with a high contrast between you and the background. It’s better to use photos that haven’t had any other effect applied to them already (colouring / blurring / softening / etc). Feel free to crop the image however you like though.

What size and resolution should the photo be?

The bigger the better. For the printed images we need the picture to be as high resolution as possible to make sure it will look great printed. For the postcards your image needs to be at least 1200+ pixels wide. For the A3 poster or the canvas your image needs to be at least 2000+ pixels wide. For the digital pack we can be more flexible, but the bigger the better. Again, if we find that we have any problems with your photo we will let you know before printing them and offer alternative options or your money back.

How long will it take for my artwork to arrive?

Our digital pack will be with you within 48hrs. If you order postcards they can take up to 8 working days to arrive. Our A3 posters can take up to 8 working days too. The canvas prints can take up to 20 working days.

How much is the postage and packaging?

All postage and packaging is FREE. The price you see is the total price you pay for each of our 4 packages.

Can I place bulk orders?

You sure can, though we don’t offer them as listed on the website. If you’d like to order in bulk get in touch and we’ll get you a quote.

Do you offer other sizes for prints?

At the moment, no. But if you really want you picture printed in a different size, get in touch and we will see if our printers can do a one off for you.

How do I use the iPhone wallpaper version of my picture?

To set the iPhone version of your pin up artwork as the wallpaper for your phone you will need to: 1) Save the picture to an album on your computer. 2) In iTunes, click on your iPhone, then the photos tab and sync the album with the pin up picture in it. 3) On your iPhone tab “Settings” then “Wallpaper” then “Photo library” then your pin up picture, then finally tap “Set wallpaper”. You should now have your beautiful pin up picture set as the wallpaper for your iPhone.
